Program Policies and Information

Registration

Please register on-line from the posted course list by selecting the individual course title, reviewing the course information and filling out the registration form. When registration for a course is open, a Register By date is also indicated to ensure enough participants are available to hold the course. Registrants will be notified of the course status and your reservation status.

Late Registration

After the Register By date, contact the Programming Coordinator, programs@calligraphicartstoronto.ca for course availability, a wait list or inquiries.

Enrolment

All Calligraphic Arts Guild of Toronto (CAGT) members and the public register on a first-served basis. Seats are reserved when a registration form is submitted, you are contacted by the Programming Coordinator and full payment for the course is received and then processed by CAGT.

Where a class/workshop has reached capacity, a waiting list may be kept by the Programming Coordinator. Openings would be filled in order of the expression of interest.

No make-up classes will be offered for a student unable to attend a program. Any additional material supplies, fees (if required) or a supply list will be indicated in course information.

Refunds

Once payment is provided and the course is confirmed, fees are non-refundable unless; the course is cancelled by the Guild, at the discretion of the Guild Executive or alternatively if the spot could be filled from a waiting list. The registrant can also opt to find a substitute.

Studio Location

Neilson Park Creative Centre located at 56 Neilson Drive, Etobicoke M9C 1V7 has five studio classes and two galleries in a beautiful park setting. TTC and MiWay has bus routes along Dundas Street and Bloor Street requiring a 10 minute walk to the facility. Members or participants may chose to discuss ride sharing with each other to Guild programs. NPCC has a kitchen equipped with fridge, microwave and coffee maker. For full-day classes, please bring your lunch and treats for class breaks are always welcome!

Studio Etiquette

CAGT aims to provide for a safe, positive and welcoming learning environment. Students and Instructors are to respect the care and maintenance policies of studio facilities. Please arrive on time to classes. Studio opening times are indicated to allow participants enough time to set up before the course commences.

Severe Weather and Cancellation

Please visit the NPCC website www.neilsonparkcreativecentre.com or call 416-622-5294 to confirm if courses or events are running in the case of inclement weather. Students will NOT be contacted when Neilson Park Creative Centre is closed due to weather. A make-up arrangement will be made with respective parties.
